Tipos, formas y usos en laconstrucci¢n del ferrocarril de Andaluc¡a.
Dec¡a Mies van der Rohe que "la arquitectura es la voluntad de una ‚poca trasladada alespacio". Eso fue lo que sucedi¢ con muchos de los tipos de edificiosque surgieron en el siglo XIX, entre ellos los edificios relacionadoscon el ferrocarril, que formaron parte de la respuesta a las nuevasnecesidades de esa ‚poca. Se ha tratado de explicar la arquitecturaferroviaria como "sistema arquitect¢nico", superando el tradicionalestudio del edificio individual y aislado, y destacando la importancia de los espacios que se crean alrededor de su eje viario principal,as¡ como la interdependencia entre edificios, y entre estaciones,hasta configurar la compleja estructura de red que lo caracteriza.Tambi‚n se analiza la evoluci¢n de las tipolog¡as y estilosarquitect¢nicos que se han utilizado en las distintas etapas de laconstrucci¢n del ferrocarril de Andaluc¡a.

Miles van der Rohe statedthat ?architecture is the will of an era given taken to space?. Thisis what happened with many of the buildings arising in the 19thcentury. Among these, railway-related constructions were intended as a response to the new needs of that age. Railway Architecture has beenexplained as an ?architectural system?, exceeding the traditionalstudy of the single, isolated building and highlighting the importance of the spaces surrounding the road axis. Together with this, theexamination of the interdependence between buildings, and betweenstations, until its characterising and complex net structure isfinally configured. Finally, the evolution of the architectural typesand styles used in the different stages of the Railway construction in Andalusia is also studied.
