The concept of collective action has been used in social sciences,giving birth to the prolific areas of protest, contentious politicsand social movements studies. Many theoretical approaches have sprungup within these confines, reaching every corner of the academic world. But little research has so far delved into a crucial aspect ofcollective action: its collaborative dimension. This conferenceanalyzes the characteristics and impact of collaborative collectiveactions in a context of erosion of the welfare state. It alsodiscusses recent innovations, trends and concerns, as well aspractical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fieldsof collaborative collective actions.
