Since the late 60's there has been a shift in scientific and publicinterest from local to regional and global environmental problems.Scientific research drew attention to previously unappreciatedenvironmental threats that occur on larger scales, like acid rain andclimate change. The present book aims at providing an introductoryscience review mainly for young scientists that are interested in thetopic of long range transport of air pollutants.
